Air Filters

A device that pressurizes ambient air and provides this high pressure compressed air to various equipment such as pneumatic controls and power tools.

Equipment used to lower the ambient pressure below ambient. Ambient being 14.7 psig.

Central vacuum cleaner

Equipment used to remove air borne contaminants by lowering the ambient pressure below atmosphere pressure. Ambient being 14.7 psig.

This is a direct expansion systems that uses an open compressor to circulate refrigerant. The evaporator and condenser are usually mounted away from the compressor.

Packaged air conditioner

This is a direct expansion circuit that uses a hermetic or semi-hermetic compressor to circulate refrigerant. The compressor, evaporator, thermostatic valve are mounted as one assembly.

Split air conditioner

This is a direct expansion system that uses a hermetic or semi-hermetic compressor to circulate refrigerant. The condenser and compressor are separate from the evaporator.

Window air conditioner

This is a direct expansion circuit that uses a hermetic compressor to circulate refrigerant. The entire system is housed in one package. These are portable units that are easily installed.

Room air conditioner

This may be free standing or mounted above a ceiling. It is a direct expansion system that uses a hermetic or semi-hermetic compressor to circulate refrigerant. The compressor, evaporator, thermostatic valve and condensor are mounted as one assembly.

Air handling unit

A unit which is designed to circulate air which has been mixed, filtered, cooled, heated and humidified in a controlled manner.

Air vent

This is a device either manual or automatic which removes air from the highest point of a water pipe system.

Air mixing box

This is a heat transfer device where air of varied temperature, return and outside, are mixed prior to being supplied to a conditioned space.
